Holiday Cleaning Tips: Organize Your Home for the Best Holiday Season Ever
12/5/2022 (Permalink)
It's important to keep your home clean during the holidays, so you don't have cleaning work when guests arrive.
The holidays are quickly approaching, and it's time to get your home ready for the festivities. With so much to do before guests arrive, it can be hard to know where to start! For some people, the holiday season can be the most stressful time of the year. To help you out this year, we've compiled a list of cleaning tips that will have your house looking festive in no time. Read on for our advice about how to organize your home for the best holiday season ever!
Start by cleaning out your closets.
Tidying up your clothes will give you more space to store decorations and gifts. Be ruthless in getting rid of anything you haven't worn in the past year and donate any items that are still in good condition, but you don't need anymore.
Next, tackle your kitchen.
Wipe down all your cabinets and drawers to get rid of any dust or grime that has built up over the year. Then, sweep and mop your floors before putting away all cleaning supplies so they're ready for next time!
Clean your carpet and upholstery.
There's no better time than the holidays to give your carpets and upholstery deep cleaning. Make sure you get rid of any stains or dirt, so they won't be an eyesore when your guests and family come over! You can also use this opportunity to get rid of any furniture that has been collecting dust in your basement. You can hire a cleaning service like SERVPRO of Deltona to do this for you and many other cleaning tasks. Find a reputable cleaning company in your area that can help you with cleaning and organizing your home before the holidays.
If your windows need a good cleaning, now is the time to do it.
Streaks from rain or snow can be unsightly when you're trying to show off your holiday cheer. Make sure to thoroughly give your windows a good cleaning so they're sparkling for your guests.
Clean up your sewage.
During the holiday season, your house is going to be filled with people nearly every day. Make sure that your sewage system can handle the extra load by cleaning it before your guests arrive. You don't want any nasty surprises popping up during your holiday party!
Find an expert cleaning service that can perform cleanup of sewage and other cleaning services such as odor removal and air duct cleaning.
Your home should be sparkling by this point, but don't stop there!
Go through all the rooms and make sure they are entirely clean before you start decorating them with festive holiday touches. This way everything will look nice when friends come over to visit or family stays for the weekend.
Conclusion
It's important to keep your home clean during the holidays, so you don't have cleaning work when guests arrive. For a hassle-free holiday cleaning process, contact a cleaning company that can do all the work for you. We hope these cleaning tips help you have a wonderful holiday season!
Feng Shui House Tips for 2023

By following these simple feng shui tips, you can help create a positive environment for yourself and your family in 2023.
As the New Year comes in, it is advised to make the best out of the remaining time to prepare for a successful year ahead. Feng Shui plays a role when it comes to preparing your home and office space for the positive twelve months that will follow in 2022.
Feng Shui means Wind-Water. Feng shui is about optimizing your house's positive energy flow, which can help foster good fortune and happiness. Feng shui techniques are usually applied at the time of building new homes, but they can also be used on existing dwellings to improve their luck.
Here are feng shui house tips you can apply in 2022.
Make sure the main door of your house is facing east or southeast.
When it comes to the main door of your house, it is best to have it facing either east or southeast. This will allow for the natural flow of energy (known as chi) to enter and exit your home with ease. If your main door faces any other direction, you can place a wind chime or fountain in front of it to help direct the energy in the right direction.
Create a balanced home environment.
A balanced home environment is key to having good feng shui. This means that you should strive to have an equal number of plants and water features as well as metal and earth elements in your house. When creating this balance, it is important to remember that too much of one element can be as bad as not having enough.
Keep your house free of clutter.
Clutter in your house can be problematic for feng shui, especially when it comes to the areas where you perform tasks at home. Hire a trusted name in a cleaning service like SERVPRO of Deltona to help keep your home clean and organized throughout the year. They are experts in residential and commercial cleaning so you can rest easy that your home is in good hands.
Make use of natural light and plants.
One of the best things about having good feng shui in your home is that it can help you relax. Having natural light and plants around can help make your home feel less cramped, allowing for a more comfortable environment to unwind after work.
Be mindful of mirror placement.
Mirrors can be helpful when it comes to feng shui, but only if they are used in the right way. Mirrors that are hung in the wrong direction can sometimes cause problems, so it is best to be mindful of where you place them. According to feng shui experts, here are some places where you can best place mirrors.
- wall perpendicular to the front door and not opposite it.
- in your dining room
- on walls that can reflect natural light, beautiful views, or gardens.
Conclusion
By following these simple feng shui tips, you can help create a positive environment for yourself and your family in 2023. If you need help with holiday cleaning to prepare your home now before the year ends, contact SERVPRO of Deltona for an expert cleaning service that will have your home looking good for the year to come.
